The cake almost says it all

The stormy weather in Starkville last Friday, April 15th, forced us to cancel the Maroon Research event celebrating the university’s designation as a very high research activity institution by the Carnegie Foundation.

But we still have the cake, and its very important message: Congratulations.

Congratulations to the faculty.

Congratulations to the staff.

Congratulations to the students.

And thank you.

Your hard work, commitment and dedication to research are why we have reached a significant milestone in the life of our university. Mississippi State is the only school in the state to hold Carnegie’s very high research classification, and one of only 108 nationwide.

In the coming days, we will let you know about rescheduling the Maroon Research event. And again, congratulations on a job well done.
